Ana Kitka za Sofja

-Photo by Shems Ana Kitka za Sofja has been involved in Utah's dance community for 50 years. She has 28 years of experience as a belly dance teacher and performer. Her dance background also includes ballet, modern dance, dance for musical theater and opera, and Eastern European folkdance. She was special choreographer for The Repertory Dance Theater's production of "Separate Journeys" and was Artistic Director for the Zivio Ethnic Arts Ensemble. She has studied belly dancing with Nushaba (of Salt Lake City) and with Aziz, and has performed with Kismet, The Scimitar Dance Company, Troupe Mashara Rabia, The Satore Dance Company, Troupe Amara of the Midnight Mirage School of Dance and performs as a soloist annually at Utah's Goddess Festival, Utah's International Dance Gala, and Utah's Annual Belly Dance Festival, as well as in local shows and at restaurants. She also MC's local belly dance events. She is currently a performing member of the Kashmir Desert Dance Company.
