Amanda

Photo by Meg Hinds Amanda has been dedicated the art of Raqs Sharqi for over a decade in the Salt Lake City area. She has received instruction from top local dancers, and has also taken workshops with many internationally renowned instructors. She is currently Level 1 certified in Sahra Saeeda's Journey Through Egypt intensive study program. Her passion for Middle Eastern dance goes far beyond simply dancing, she also spends time studying Middle Eastern music, arts and culture, creating unique costumes, and she is an active member in the local dance community. She can currently be seen performing with Blue Lotus Dance Collaborative, a professional troupe in Salt Lake City for which she designs and creates many of the costumes.
